These terms apply to your use of the Pontueel website (pontueel.com, pontueel.nl, pontje.com) and the Pontueel iOS app, together "the service". By using the service you agree to these terms.
The service
Pontueel is a free tool that shows live and scheduled departures for the Amsterdam ferries. It is provided by Giel Cobben, an independent Dutch developer based in Canada.
Accuracy and reliance
Departure information is drawn from public sources (such as OVapi and GTFS feeds) and is provided on a best-effort basis. It may be delayed, incomplete, or incorrect, and ferries can change or be cancelled without notice. Do not rely on Pontueel as your only source when catching a ferry. Always allow a margin and check official signage. We are not liable for missed ferries, connections, or any other loss arising from reliance on the information shown.
"As is", no warranty
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Giel Cobben will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service.
Acceptable use
Please use the service reasonably. Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to it, and do not scrape or reuse its data in a way that burdens the service or breaches the terms of the underlying data providers.
Intellectual property
The Pontueel name, app, website, and their design and content are owned by Giel Cobben. Ferry timetable and real-time data remain the property of their respective providers and are subject to their own terms.
Third-party services
The service relies on third parties, including Apple (MapKit) and public transit data providers. Your use of those parts is also subject to their respective terms and policies.
Changes
We may change the service or these terms at any time. Material changes to these terms will be reflected by the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
